Track

Registration for the 2026 Track season is CLOSED.

St Anne’s CYO Track team is open to boys and girls in grades K-8 who either:
  • worship and attend faith formation classes at St. Anne’s Church
  • attend St. Anne’s School
  • live within St. Anne’s Parish, or
  • live within the boundaries of a parish that does not offer track this season

Eligibility is governed by the CYO of Long Island Rules.

The registration fee is $60 per child. There will be no refunds after the first week of practice.

Uniforms & Apparel

A St. Anne’s uniform tank top and shorts are required for meets. For practices, gym clothes are fine.

Parents are responsible for obtaining their children’s uniforms! If you don’t have an old uniform that fits, then you must purchase a uniform when you register your child.

Optional sweats are also available for purchase during registration.

Practices & Meets

Practices will start the week of Monday, April 13. Each team will practice once per week. Practice times will be 7:00-7:45 PM unless otherwise noted.

Here is the practice schedule

  • Kindergarten Boys: Mondays- Garden City High School (7-7:30)
  • Kindergarten Girls: Wednesdays- Garden City High School (7-7:30)
  • Grade 1 Boys: Tuesdays- Garden City High School
  • Grade 1 Girls: Wednesdays- Tully Park
  • Grade 2 Boys: Wednesdays- Garden City High School
  • Grade 2 Girls: Wednesdays- Garden City High School
  • Grade 3 Boys: Tuesdays- Tully Park
  • Grade 3 Girls: Tuesdays- Tully Park
  • Grade 4 Boys: Tuesdays- Garden City High School
  • Grade 4 Girls: Mondays- Garden City High School
  • Grade 5 Boys: Wednesdays- Garden City High School
  • Grade 5 Girls: Fridays- Tully Park (6:00-6:45 PM)
  • Grade 6 Boys: Thursdays- Garden City High School
  • Grade 6 Girls: Thursdays- Garden City High School
  • Grade 7&8 Boys: Mondays- Garden City High School
  • Grade 7&8 Girls: Mondays- Garden City High School

We also expect to compete at four “parish meets,” hosted by CYO parishes at local high schools. These meets will take place on weekends in May and June.

Each team will also compete at its CYO Regional Meet, the qualifier for CYO Championships. Substitutions are not allowed, so no one may compete at Championships without qualifying at Regionals.

The tentative meet schedule so far is as follows:

  • Sunday, May 3, 4:00 PM – LI Fun Runners Meet, at Chaminade HS
  • Monday, May 11, 6:00 PM – CYO Regional Meet, Grades 1-3, at Mitchel Field, Uniondale
  • Saturday, May 23 – Holy Family CYO parish meet, at Holy Trinity HS
  • Saturday, May 30 – St. Aidan’s CYO parish meet, at NHP HS
  • Monday, June 1, 6:00 PM – CYO Regional Meet, Grades 4-8, at Mitchel Field, Uniondale
  • Saturday, June 6 – St. Hedwig’s CYO parish meet, at NHP HS
  • Tuesday, June 9, 6:00 PM – CYO Championship, Grades 4-8, at Mitchel Field, Uniondale
  • Thursday, June 11, 6:00 PM – CYO Championships, Grades 1-3, at Mitchel Field, Uniondale

Team Mass

The Team Mass, a seasonal tradition, will be scheduled once the season starts.

Profanity, racial or sexist comments or other intimidating actions directed at officials, athletes, coaches or team representatives will not be tolerated and are grounds for removal from this venue.
